Our own special E500 is now offered for sale,a difficult decision but lack of use and other commitments mean this unique E500 is now availlable for a discerning new owner.Fitted with expensive and desirable upgrades this is probally one of the best E500’s currently for sale.

Tasteful upgrades include Porsche 993 turbo front brake calipers & pads on custom machined brackets which give fantastic feel and stopping power,18” Techno magnesio forged alloys shod with 4 brand new Avon ZZ5 tyres,a full Brabus exhaust system which is still refined on a cruise but emits a mighty V8 bark on full throttle.Swift Sport springs are fitted to ensure a tight controlled ride and suspension arms have been replaced to ensure the car is as tight as they day it left the factory,a bespoke headlining retrim has also just been completed.To drive is to be smitten by its dual personality,on the one hand a refined mile muncher,but bury the throttle and kick down turns this into a angry muscle car.

The 500E was created in close co-operation with Porsche; each & every 500E was hand-built by Porsche, being transported back and forth between the Mercedes plant and Porsche's Rossle-Bau plant in Zuffenhausen, Germany during assembly.Each car took a full 18 days to complete. Called "500E" from 1991 through model year 1993, for model year 1994 it was face-lifted along with the rest of the range and renamed to "E500".

Our own E500 has received our usual extensive service program to ensure the car runs perfectly for the new owner,belts fluids inc diff,autobox,engine oil+filter have been renewed with high quality Castrol/Mobil fluids and genuine Mercedes parts,Airfilters/pollen filters.Bosch spark plugs,distributor caps+rotors having all been renewed as part of our thorough and extensive service preparation. A new genuine Mercedes drivebelt has also been fitted.

This very car was recently used for a holiday to Italy where we stayed on the beautiful shores of Lake Garda,it perfomed faultlessly throughout the trip being both fast and extremely comfortable on a long journey.We convoyed down with a Ferrari 360 and a Lamborgini Gallardo and both were surprised by the pace of a 23 year old Mercedes E-class,although no normal E-class!

Late low mileage E500’s are becoming increasingly sort after by collectors all over the world and prices have been steadily rising over the past 18 months.Also worth noting these cars are now becoming increasingly expensive to buy in Japan and E500’s are often found in special interest sections when offered for sale along with Porsches and Ferraris etc which is steadily driving up prices,the market now seems to have woken up to just how good these cars are with there unique heritage.
